Oh Canada!
July 1st is coming up! Are you ready to celebrate Canada 147th
birthday? Here are few upcoming ideas that we have prepare for you for your
plans on Canada Day!
1. Mississauga Celebration Square
Celebrating
Canada's Day featuring Leslie Roberts and Liza the for host show, performance by
Canadian cirque acts with mile high stilt walkers, mind-blowing Mirror People,
and festive face painting.
There will be numerous of food trucks and vendors serving up savoury and
sweet gourmet curbside cuisine. Food vendors include Beavertails Pastry,
Fidel Gastro, Frankie Fettuccine, Localista, Per Se Mobile, Pretty Sweet,
Randy’s Roti, Smoke’s Poutinerie, Urban Smoke, Mike’s Dog House, cotton candy
and hot dog concessions, corn roasters, a tiki drink stand, and much more…
The main stage line-up includes
performances from local bands Trouble & Daughter and Aukland, and featuring
pop heart throb Tyler Shaw and JUNO Award winning R&B superstar JRDN and
Canada's pop darling Alyssa Reid.
And finally countdown to an explosive fireworks finale!!
The Living Arts Centre will be also celebrating with indoor activities
from 12pm to 4pm on July 1, 2014. There will be lots of creative activities and
entertainment for kids and families. Kids love playing with several different crafts,
demonstrations and musical performances. Children are invited to make Canadian
flag bugs and butterflies, a moose, beaver, bear puppets and more activities.
Kids can also get their faces painted and enjoy a magic show at the RBC
Theatre. In addition, there will be painting, pottery and glass demonstrations
run by local artists.
3. Streetsville
In Streetsville there will be great fun for the whole
family starting at 6:00pm with fireworks from 10pm with traditional
celebration with clowns, face painting, balloon animals, craft tables, and
carnival games. This year’s event features a Donut Eating Contest and a
contest reward the best Canada Day costume.

4. Port Credit Canada Day Celebration
Port Credit celebrating 11th annual Paint
the Town Red Canada Day Festival features the only parade in the city and the
largest red-and-white birthday cake in the country.
Canada Day Parade starts at 11 a.m. and
ends with the fireworks display in Memorial Park at 9:50 p.m.
